“Kai and Queenie wanted to do something different. Instead of only celebrating their wedding day, they decided to celebrate their marriage instead. So when they approached me about photographing their love story, I was so excited because I believe that while the wedding day is a wonderful celebration to the start of a beautiful union, it’s the marriage afterwards that demonstrates a couple’s enduring love and devotion to one another.
I loved that the couple wanted to celebrate their first year of marriage together.  The couple loves being outdoors among nature, and we dreamed of them meeting in a secret garden. They wanted their photos to feel natural and soft. We found the perfect place at the only time of the year when the wisteria are in full bloom, about 2 hours drive out of town. We had the entire gardens to ourselves, and having that privacy enabled Kai and Queenie to feel relaxed so they could express their hearts openly to one another. They were completely and utterly in love, dancing, laughing, kissing and romancing under the purple blossoms of the wisteria tunnel. I hope this will be an inspiration to aspiring wives (not just brides)-to-be, to celebrate a loving and committed marriage long after their special day, allowing true love, one that is unconditional and completely selfless – to shine.”
