Ring Ceremony
Before we knew it, our ceremony was coming to a close. It was time to put our rings on and get this party started.

Mr. Feather, as you place the ring on Ms. Feather’s finger, please repeat after me:
This ring is a token of my love / I marry you with this ring / with all that I have and all that I am.
Ms. Feather, as you place the ring on Mr. Feather’s finger, please repeat after me:
This ring is a token of my love / I marry you with this ring / with all that I have and all that I am.

I’m not sure why I found this moment so funny. Maybe because Mr. Feather was so delighted to finally be sliding that ring onto my finger. Or because we were both a little nervous.
Ms. Feather and Mr. Feather, now that you have shared with each other these words of love and commitment, and we have witnessed the expression of your love as you have given each other these rings, and you have joined your hands and hearts before your family and friends, it is with great joy that I pronounce you husband and wife.
We’d been joking that we should practice our first kiss. I wish we’d at least talked about it– long" short" How awkward it was going to be kissing in front of our families"
Answer: very awkward.

We headed back down the aisle with huge grins on our faces. We were finally married!
With the ceremony over, we were ready to head to the mansion for dinner and dancing.
