How the Feathers Were Wed

Post Wedding Update
Hey, hive! It’s been a while, huh"
Last time we spoke, I was creating the last of our wedding signs, drinking wine with my favorite ladies, and putting together a few small gifts for our loved ones.
And today, we’ve been husband and wife for almost two months.

When strangers ask how long I’ve been married and I sheepishly mumble, “…two months,” it hits me all over again that our work has barely begun. I’ve learned so much simply from asking people if they had any advice for someone who is newly married. I know still I have so much more to learn.
Looking back on our wedding day now feels surreal, like pointing to the moment that everything began, where we made the promises that will guide us through the rest of our lives together. Flipping through our photos reminds me how fun our ceremony was and how many people we have in our lives loving and supporting our future as a family. Luckily, married life has been anything but boring. Here’s a peek into what we’ve been up to since we tied the knot.

Photo and beautiful balayage by Erin Register
I got my post-wedding balayage done by the same lovely lady who did my wedding day hair and makeup. I walked in wanting something drastic, and we finally came around to having her make me look like I’d spent three weeks on the beach in Tahiti. I dig it.
Hiking, hiking, and more hi...
