How the Sixes Became Mr. and Mrs.: (Getting) Ready to Rock

After having a bit of a restless night, I woke up on W.M. (Wedding Morning) well before my alarm. I spent some time alone in prayer, took a long shower, and blow dried my hair at a leisurely pace. It felt lovely to not be rushed.
My shoes—and sixpence—were also ready to do this thing.*
A little before 9:00 AM, my mom arrived and we walked across the street to get pretty while my sister finished up with the bouquets. I had my hair done first, and Krista, my stylist, gave me the nicest compliment ever when she exclaimed, ?What product did you use today"! It feels like a different head of hair!!? (The product in question is Living Proof?s Full, a thickening mousse that really does wonders. HIGHLY recommended.)
I did not actually wear the hotel robe outside the hotel, if that wasn’t clear.
I finished with Krista and loved the body and volume she gave me in my updo. We chose from the hair accessories (the less expensive one—yay) and secured it before I went over to get my face put on by Rebecca. My mom?s makeup session was just wrapping up, and my sister was on her way to her hair appointment. Well-oiled machine, really. As my sister and I had already gotten our nails** done on Thursday before the bachelorette, we were fully groomed and ready to go.
On our way back to the hotel, we picked up some quiche and soups from Hendrickx, a wonderful Belgian bakery right next to the studios. As was my MO tha...
