How the Sixes Became Mr. and Mrs.: Hawaiian Honeymooning
The Tuesday after our wedding, Ben and I had left the frigid Midwest behind and were more than ready to board our cruise ship in Long Beach, California. Our itinerary was as follows: stop in Ensenada, Mexico on the way out, spend four nights at sea, have a day each in Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island, and then head back to California over the next five nights. The height of overconsumption relaxation! The whole two weeks were glorious, but here?s a quick rundown of particularly notable moments.
ENSENADA: We did a wine tasting excursion in the morning (amazing and cheap), and hit up a local place known for their ceviche in the afternoon. So delicious.

OAHU: We spent the morning fighting crowds at Pearl Harbor and then found an amazing brewpub called Waikiki Brewing Company. They make a jalapeno IPA that was maybe the best beer we have ever had?and my world was shattered when I learned we couldn?t bring  any back with us as they don?t (currently) bottle. I will dream of it forever.

MAUI: We drove part of the Road to Hana in a convertible. This was as awesome as it sounds.

KAUAI: We had booked a snorkeling expedition, and while recent rains had churned up the water and made for mediocre fish-gazing, the Zodiac ride was super eventful. We saw a huge, extremely playful pod of spinner dolphins, two sea turtles, and a couple of humpback whales. I?m in...
