How the Sixes Became Mr. and Mrs.: We Dine, Finely

After we made our entrance and cut the cake, it was time to sit down to dinner!
Festive atmosphere = accomplished
Looking around the dining room, I was so pleased with the work that our venue coordinators, Suzi and Amanda, did in setting up the decor according to my insane and tedious specifications.
Dream-fulfillers and wish-granters, they are.
After Ben and I were seated at our sweetheart table, my dad welcomed everyone as our host and made some very sweet comments about me and about Benjamin. It was wonderful to hear that he is proud of me, and I’m so glad he loves Ben. It would kill me if the two most important men in my life didn’t get along!Â
He’s not one for public speaking, but you’d never know it.

Next, Benjamin got up and gave a short speech thanking all of our guests for celebrating with us. He also spoke in honor of his dad, who had passed away just under a year before. Benjamin used a lovely cocktail glass that belonged to his father and led us in a toast to his memory. It was a wonderful way to celebrate his dad and still keep the mood lighthearted.Â
As our priest was unable to join us at the reception, Ben concluded by leading a blessing over the meal, and the pasta course was served. Just like our cake experience a few moments prior, we were blown away by how delicious the meal was at our reception. Our tasting had ...
