I think the realization that my art skills are not the best happened when I got a C in seventh grade art. For me, art has always been fun to look at and horrible to try myself. I start projects with high hopes and aspirations and end them in tears, cursing my decision to try and make something by hand instead of just buying it in a store.
Two months ago, I shared the wood chalkboard signs I?d picked up on Craigslist for cheap. After painting the frames gold, I started searching for an artist who could do some simple vine designs and nice cursive on them. As I mentioned in my pre-wedding survey, I have zero interest in any wedding-related DIY that isn?t simple painting or gluing.
Enter the most amazing, easiest way ever to make signs. I was skimming Reddit earlier this week and found a bride who used a projector to trace all of her wedding signs. All credit for this amazing idea goes to her. On Friday, Mr. Feather borrowed a project from a coworker, and I created a simple design using Keynote and a vine image I found on Google. I set everything up, got Mr. Feather?s help to properly align the projector with the sign, took a deep breath, and started tracing.
