Oh I do so love a wedding held at one of the lucky couple’s parents’ houses and we’re in for a treat today, with WWW readers Matthew and Fiona’s big day held on the 27th May 2017. They chose to do the legal bit ahead of the main event with just family, leaving them free to plan everything just as they wanted, including a stunning outdoor ceremony. I just love the flexibility that a wedding at home allows our lovely couples, and this pair really took advantage by making lots of the décor themselves and of course using the help of their generous family and friends.
Matthew and Fiona also made sure to use local suppliers and seasonal products where possible. Aren’t the flowers including Fiona’s favourite peonies simply stunning" There are so many brilliant homemade details to enjoy here but I think one of my favourites has to be the personalised bar, and what a touching tribute to name the beers after grandparents who couldn’t be there. Everyone happens to be turned out rather nicely too. Fiona kept her Maggie Sottero dress a secret from everyone except her Mum and don’t you just adore the gorgeous hair vine she chose to go with it" Matthew was a French Connection groom with a special Scottish touch, which was also carried through to the darling page boys. It goes without saying that the bridesmaids looked beautiful in their ASOS numbers.
