I Wanna Be a Producer: Our Videographer Search

OK, I know this song from the The Producers isn?t actually about producing movies…but it fits, hive—trust me.
The Dreamcatchers always knew we?d hire a videographer. Some brides cut them for budget reasons or just don?t feel like they need one, which I completely understand. However, because I am such a sentimental sap, I knew I?d regret it forever if we didn?t capture these memories. Pictures are worth a thousand words, but there is something unbelievably special about being able to hear a loved one laugh, listen to Mr. Dreamcatcher say his vows to me, see Grandma bustin? a move on the dance floor, and experience a million more sweet moments that will go by too quickly. As you know, I tear up at randos’ wedding videos sometimes, so missing out on that for myself isn?t something I wanted.

I did so much research on photographers I could probably write a book with everything I learned. Videography…not so much. I naively thought all videography was pretty much the same. Again…not so much. Here are a few things I picked up along the way.
1. Quality. This goes for both equipment and editing style. If they aren?t using good equipment, they aren?t going to get great video. Be sure to double check that the company you book shoots in HD. As for edits, are they choppy" Do the transitions feel weird" Does the video have a good flow so you get an accurate description of the day" Is it a little tooooo cheese-ta...
