Imma bee, Imma bee, Imma Imma Imma bee! No, not you Black Eyed Peas: Meeeee! I am so honored to be selected to blog for the ‘Bee and can’t wait to share with everyone our wedding-planning journey. I have been reading the blogs on Weddingbee since way back in 2007 when I stumbled upon the blog of Mrs. Eggplant, so it is a dream come true for me to be marrying Mr. Eel and blogging about it as a bee!
But first, a little bit about the Eels. Mr. Eel and I have been together for four years now but have known each other for longer. It actually took us three years and a relationship in between before we finally got together! We were engaged on June 14, 2015 at home…while folding laundry. Yes, very romantic. I can truly say that I am marrying my best friend. He?s the calm to my nervous, peanut butter to my jelly, quiet to my loud, voice of reason to my neurotic, yin to my yang.

As a couple we LOVE the Houston Texans (it?s too soon for us to talk about last season?s playoff loss), waking up at 8:00 AM to watch NFL Red Zone on Sunday mornings during football season, and fantasy football. We even started our own family fantasy football league and tend to get a little (OK, very) competitive. We love the Texans so much that we even found a way to incorporate them into our wedding. Oddly enough, neither of us is from the Houston area nor have been to Texas before, let alone Houston!
