Intimate London Elopement at The Asylum
Marc and Jess’ wedding really touched my heart. I do love to feature elopements, as they remind me of my own wedding day. It’s simply all about the love, the marriage and the intimacy.
Our pair chose the 21st December 2017, which also happens to be The Winter Equinox, to tie the knot at the stunning Asylum in London. Just before Christmas too, so romantic! Then for New Year’s Eve they jetted off to Iceland for their incredible honeymoon.
Living and working in the city, it was important to them that they celebrated locally. I think it’s so lovely and sentimental that they sat at the table where they had their first drink following the ceremony. Memory making at it’s very best.

The Proposal
Marc proposed on a park bench in Newington Green below the little attic flat we shared together. He proposed with a beautiful handmade ring and then we used my late grandmother?s diamond to design a bespoke engagement ring.
The Vision
We wanted to have an intimate wedding with just the two of us that was reflective of us and our relationship. We both love London in winter so the idea of getting married in December on the Winter Equinox was perfect for us.
