James and Ellen’s Food Loving Brewery Wedding in Newcastle by Dan McCourt

Today we have something a little different for you, with this Winter Brewery Wedding in Newcastle  that was sent into me by Dan McCourt. Winter weddings are notorious for being hard to photograph, the short winter days mean less daylight and less light in general. Dan has embraced this fact and has really gone to town with capturing this stunning wedding, embracing the dark light and using it to his advantage. Ellen and James chose the Wylam Brewery as they are massive food and drink lovers and wanted to reflect this in their venue, while giving their guests really amazing food and a wonderful experience. I love the simplicity of this wedding and the wonderful backdrop this venue offers.
Very laid back and relaxed, and a great reunion of friends and family from all over the country.
Ellen and James got married on the 19th November 2016 at Wylam Brewery, Newcastle. ‘The venue is beautiful and staff are all amazing, we’re both big fans of food and drink so it was important we were able to offer good quality to our guests. Wylam are one of the best local breweries and we knew the chef Tony Renwick from his work in the company’s other venues so knew he would be able to provide something different from the usual wedding fare. We had 55 day guests and 120 in the evening. We got engaged in May 2016 and married in November, so didn’t take long to plan!’
