Today we head to Utah for this super sweet and incredibly laid back Desert micro wedding. Katy and Todd were married on 9th May 2021 in Moab. Their wedding took place over 4 days to make sure them and their 20 guests really felt at home and were at ease with each other by the time the big day came around. They started the festivities off with a day of BBQs and drinking, the next day rafting and then the rehearsal dinner, with Sunday as the main event. The last day the couple went off for some portrait shots on their own, enjoying their first day as husband and wife and the last day of their celebrations. This is a wonderful wedding, where they surrounded themselves with their very closest friends and family which resulted in a super chilled day with some extraordinary photos by Katie Jewell Co.
This sweet couple hired me as both their wedding planner and wedding photographer. (I offer both with my business, but not usually at the same time. Since this was only a 20-person elopement and it was spread out over 4 days, I knew it would be relaxed enough that I would be able to do both.) They didn’t want to deal with the hubbub of a full-blown wedding day, so they decided to invite 20 of their closest friends and family to the deserts of Utah for a weekend full of cookouts, canoeing, and more love than they even knew possible.
