Let Us Eat Cake!

Wedding Cake Tasting
Many of my married friends have told me that tasting cake was one of the best parts of wedding planning. And now I can say I agree?mostly. Maybe it?s because we scheduled all of our tastings within a few days or maybe it?s because I just got back from a workcation where I packed away a lot of greasy food, but I?m done with cake for the next several months.
I?ve had a lot on my plate lately, so I asked Mr. Feather to pick out the bakeries and schedule our tastings. Our first stop: The Frosted Cake in Lake Forest Park, Washington.

First, her home office is beautiful. Second, look at this spread of cake and filling! I love the way she set up the plate so we could mix and match everything.
I have to call out the three berry fillings in the bottom row. Tracy makes both the cherry and the strawberry with fresh, local berries, and the raspberry is made with homemade jam. They?re all mouthwateringly good.
