Planning a wedding ? no matter how much you try not to let it ? will take over your entire life. Not one conversation will be had where someone doesn?t reference your ?big day? or ask the obligatory ?how?s the wedding planning going"? and then make you panic when you list all of the things you haven’t done yet and they gasp in horror and remind you that it?s not long away now! Teamed with that is the many evenings and weekends spent pinning, extensively researching real weddings on blogs and the endless scrolling through Etsy and eBay. What did I used to do with my time before I was planning a wedding" What will I do with myself after it?s all over" What did Wayne and I used to talk about before it was all guest lists, colour schemes, table plans and who hasn?t RSVPed"  Does life actually exist after the 28th May 2016"" This is something that has played on my mind recently as I began the transition from a Lumley to a Fairnington with the renewal of my passport. Changing your surname has to be the biggest/weirdest thing to come to terms with when getting married. And there?s nothing like receiving your first letter addressed to Mrs Julia Fairnington to really hit home that this isn?t just a wedding – it?s a real, official, grown up marriage.
