Light It Up
I have this thing for marquee letters. I have two different words in our house, and I’d be happy to have one in each room. Our cake topper also has a marquee letter on it, because I love them that much. I knew I wanted to do some sort of marquee letter display for our decor, as they’re easy and fun and a statement decoration. I originally wanted to buy these great big ones at Hobby Lobby, but Bridesmaid M1 talked me out of spending $90 a letter (bridal brain is a real thing, I’m telling you!), and I realized that the large ones wouldn’t really have a place in our venue since they’re SO big.

I saw another inspiration photo of smaller letters that spelled out LOVE and just adored the idea from the first sight. I loved the idea of having them as a photo spot or even just on the side and glowing in the background of some photos. This couple made theirs out of plywood and aluminum sheeting, which is above my crafting ability, but I still loved them.

I was kind of hooked by the idea of making my own, even though I knew I could buy letters from a store and just string them. My issue was that I wanted a size between the large ones that cost $90 and the smaller ones like our ampersand we used for our engagement photos.
