Long story short, I’m excited to be your newest blogger here on the ‘Bee. But for those who want to read more than the Cliff’s Notes, here goes.
So how did I get here" Well, I applied on a whim, almost—and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been on and off the site since my first time as a bridesmaid (looking for ideas, naturally), and it’s been a great resource. I’m thrilled to add my own voice to the mix…even though it may be pretty clueless.
After Mr. Wishbone and I got engaged, I started writing about the wedding planning process, just for myself. Writing is how I make plans, sort out complicated emotions, and generally figure myself out, so writing about a new chapter in my life felt natural. Sharing it with others is a little different, but I’m open to new challenges.
That’s us, minutes after he proposed, taken by a random stranger in Sydney. Not 20 seconds later, the skies opened up and it poured!
A little about me:
I’m a Chicago native (hence the Chicago wedding) and an ex-pastry chef, and I spend about six hours a week hanging upside down. No joke—I’m an aerialist and pole dancer, so there’s a lot of upside down time in my life. I love to travel, I drink a ton of coffee, but most of the time, I’d rather stay home…I’m pretty intensely introverte...
