Sideswept Bridal Hair
As we get closer to wedding day, I’ve been running around doing a lot of last minute tasks. I told myself at the beginning of wedding planning that I would be well prepared and plan things well in advance so that this last month would be relatively stress free. What I’ve come to learn is that a lot of vendors don’t want to discuss the details of your wedding until about a month out, so it’s sort of unavoidable. One such vendor that I needed to wait until closer to the wedding to meet with was my hair and makeup artist.
Early on I had booked Sarah from Whik’d Hair and Makeup for my bridal and bridesmaids’ hair and makeup on the wedding day. The good ones book up fast (or at least in my area they do), so make sure to book yours early! Since she’s usually busy on weekends with weddings, I took a day off from work last Friday for my trial. I presented her with the inspiration pictures below but ultimately left the final product up to her, the expert.

The entire trial took about two hours including adjustments made based on some of my critique. For example, she originally put a really pink lipstick on me which is just not my jam. She also recommended that I cut off about two inches of hair and add in layers so that my hair would waterfall like in my sid...
