Make Me Up Before You Go-Go
Smoky Eyes Bridal Look
Another confession: I kind of hate Pinterest. It?s the same 20 images over and over, and forget about clicking on a pinned photo from a browser—you?re forced to go to the app. And God help you if you ever want to cite an image accurately!!!
Ahem. Anyway, this slowly building rage was brought on by searching for ?wedding makeup? examples. I had my trial last week and it went well, but as I washed it off that evening, I had a Home Alone moment when I realized I hadn?t taken a photo.
So instead, I have compiled my beauty inspiration from much lovelier girls than I. As usual, I had a pretty good idea of what I didn’t want: no ?glowy skin? (just looks oily on me), no glitter (though my high school self would be deeply offended), and for the love of all that is holy, NO LIP LINER. I don?t know if you?ve ever had your makeup done at a counter before, but they always, ALWAYS want to put lip liner on me, and it is ALWAYS TERRIBLE.
This is painfully accurate. | Image via GIPHY
Personally, I like a smoky, lined eye and a neutral lip. I also need a fair amount of coverage on my skin foundation-wise, due to the whole “teenage acne” thing continuing well past my teenage years. Height of rudeness.
This is my favorite image out there and my main inspiration. So lovely. | Image via Tiny Touchups

The last two photos are actually from the make...
