Making Mismatched Bridesmaids Work

Bridesmaids: those awesome ladies (or gents) who will stand up beside you to show their love and support at your wedding.
Something I appreciate about getting married in this day and age is that your bridal party can be whatever you want it to be. I stayed somewhat traditional and asked my close female friends to be my bridesmaids, and I knew that I wanted them to wear mismatched gowns.

I was firmly in the mismatched camp as I wanted my bridesmaids to pick a gown that suited their personal style and budget. If you?d like your ladies to be mismatched, my biggest piece of advice is to provide them with some guidance. All I initially said to my bridesmaids was, ?Get a dark blue or navy dress. Just text me a photo before you buy it so I can make sure that you aren?t wearing the same dress as someone else.? This led to some unnecessary frustration for my ‘maids as I wasn?t being very specific. Provide your ladies with some inspiration photos, a colour palette, etc. Your bridesmaids will still be able to pick their own dress, but the scope has been somewhat narrowed to make it easier for them. So?what will the Horseshoe bridal party be wearing"
