Master Builder: Building a Wedding Website

I knew early on that I wanted to build a wedding website to include on our save the dates for our guests to access in the months leading up to our wedding. About 90% of our guests live locally here in Hawaii, so things like save the dates and a wedding website aren’t really necessary (and often aren’t done at all). Most of our guests won’t need travel and hotel accommodations since most places in Hawaii are within a 30-minute drive. For the few that are coming from out of state, we could have easily communicated verbally with them to inform them of wedding details.
I, however, have been reading wedding blogs for far too long and love all those extra special touches that can make a wedding unique. I wanted, nay, needed us to have our own wedding website. I was already off to a good start as a ton of research has been done on Weddingbee regarding the options for a wedding website. I read through the countless pros and cons of each of the options and ultimately decided to use Wix. I liked the balance between ease of use, template options, and price. Wix offers both free and premium options, so if you don’t mind Wix ads on your site and don’t want a custom domain, then you can build your website on Wix for nothing but the cost of your time! The Wix templates were so user friendly and easy to use that even a n00b like me could build our wedding website in a few hours on a Saturday.
