My two favorite places to shop are what I call the giant Goodwill (fun fact: it?s the biggest Goodwill in the US and one of the locations where Macklemore filmed the music video for ?Thrift Shop?) and Amazon.
The giant Goodwill is amazing because it?s well curated but not pricey. Amazon, on the other hand, is the best because it has everything—even, as I recently discovered, wedding stuff. There are some great deals on things like veils, Mr. and Mrs. signs, shoes, aisle runners, garter belts, and random wedding knickknacks.
I?d been eyeing some wood table numbers on Amazon for a few weeks before buying them to get to a certain total for a few add-on items I needed. I was surprised when I pulled them out of the box and discovered that I had accidentally ordered table numbers for ants.

After sending this photo to a few friends and cracking more than a couple Zoolander jokes, I started brainstorming how I could make them a little larger. Even though they weren?t the size I needed, I still liked the curly style of the numbers and wanted to keep them.
One of my friends suggested mounting them on sticks, like so:

And another friend suggested I take very thin slices of wood, glue them together, and create a little stand for the numbers to make them a little higher:
