Miss Feather?s Quest for the Dress: Part 1
As I mentioned in my last post, I had originally planned on waiting a couple months before starting to look for a dress. I was in no rush to start trying on dresses, especially since we didn?t have a venue or a date locked down yet.

One of the first stores I called to make an appointment with really lit a fire under my ass. ?You need to order within the next two weeks,? I remember the manager telling me. ?It takes five months or longer for a dress to come in, plus you need to leave time for alterations.?
Whoops. In my frantic, what-the-heck-let?s-do-the-wedding-this-summer mindset, I?d forgotten to consider that not everyone works on my timeline. So began the Yelping, quick appointment-making, and frantic Pinterest-ing. I started my search at BHLDN (pronounced ?beholden,? for the uncool cats like me that are tempted to say B-H-L-D-N) in downtown Seattle. It?s an offshoot of Anthropologie, which is crazy expensive in my mind for street clothes. I was surprised by how affordable BHLDN is for wedding dresses and accessories.
