When it comes a design that checks all the boxes in terms of a modern, romantic wedding (pretty flowers, romantic paper deets, you get the idea…) you have to be really intentional about making sure everything comes off as welcoming and authentic, and genuinely represents the couple. Quite the job for a designer like Jessica of Kismet & Clover and a team of industry creatives, if you ask us! With Christy Swanberg Photography behind the lens, they set out to produce a same-sex wedding editorial to inspire anyone with a modern, industrial venue as their muse.

Jessica of Kismet & Clover explains, The inspiration from the shoot came from me wanting to highlight that a wedding can be both masculine and modern, without omitting the pretty details like dainty floral arrangements, ribbon, stationery design, and textures like fur (and wicker!). Our color palette was a combination of dark blues and grey, with hints of gold.
Of course, a cake like none other always helps to tip the scales! Kudos to Bake My Day on this artsy, geometric cake.

Jessica actually styled her models Jamie and Jeremy’s wedding earlier this year, so she knew they’d be perfect for her latest concept. Congrats, J + J!
