Mr. Eel Draws the Short Straw

While we still have approximately three months until our wedding, Mr. Eel was anxious to start looking for his wedding band. He wanted to make sure we found something that he loved the look and, more importantly, feel of since he would be wearing it every day post-nuptials. We visited local jewelry stores to see the wedding band options, and immediately Mr. Eel liked the tungsten wedding bands.

This made me a very happy Eel because, as you probably already know, tungsten be cheap! Mr. Eel jokingly told the sales associate that he felt ripped off and “drew the short straw” since my engagement ring and wedding band cost so much more than a tungsten wedding band. Oh silly Eel, welcome to married life.
Tungsten, however, does not come without its flaws. According to my research online prior to purchasing Mr. Eel’s ring, tungsten wedding bands cannot be resized. If Mr. Eel’s fingers change over time, he wouldn’t be able to wear his original ring and we would need to get him a new one. Tungsten can also easily break or shatter if dropped because, even though Tungsten is one of the hardest metals, it is also very brittle.
