Evening! How’s your week been" Mine has had some highs, and very sad lows. I am looking forward to a fresh week, cracking on with work and a few nights out. This week I celebrated a birthday, a wedding, and mourned a death. Life hey"Â
Sunday – My cake arrived! I have now been 100% gluten free for a year as I remember this time last year I had my first gluten free cake. It was shipped down from Scotland via courier (if you have anything that needs courier-ing, Richard was fantastic. No other companies could guarantee that the cakes wouldn’t be smooshed or turned upside down). It was made by Genevieve at Glutteny, Michael had been in Edinburgh on business and happened to try a brownie in a bar. He had no idea it was gluten free and asked who made it, well, that lead to us ordering the orange, pomegranate and cardamom cake and a tray of salted caramel brownies (yet to be demolished). Incredible service, and some of the nicest cake I have had thus far.
Monday – I have stayed on the health wagon (this went downhill from Tuesday onwards) this was Michael making thai stir fry. The gf rice noodles from M&S are so delicious! We did a pre birthday shop, because I obviously needed champagne to go with the cake. My current favourite (also good in gin) is adding a splash of this Belvoir cordial in to prosecco/champagne.
