Nailed It, Part II: A Horseshoe Engagement Story

I won?t lie, hive. After two and a half years of dating Mr. Horseshoe, I was itching to make things official. We knew we wanted to eventually get married and had talked about it quite a bit, but we hadn?t set any hard deadlines. The mystery of when and how he?d propose had me excited and anxious. Today" Nope. How about today" Nope. Suffice it to say, I was surprised by his proposal. Mr. Horseshoe had gone ring shopping and planned our engagement without me knowing. Well done, Mr. H.

Mr. Horseshoe had been going on and on for weeks about wanting to have a special European style breakfast as opposed to our usual toast or cereal. Pastries, cheese, and coffee to start our weekend" Yes, please. I dragged myself downstairs, pyjamas and messy hair and all, to find a beautiful table waiting for me:

We ate our fill, and once we were done Mr. Horseshoe said,”Oh, that reminds me, I got you a Fat Cap. Let me go get it.”
Mr. Horseshoe and I love collecting things. Our home is probably going to look like a curio store by the time we turn 50. We started collecting Fat Caps, little vinyl spray can figures that come in blind boxes, shortly after we moved in together. Fat Caps usually come in a series of nine or so, and each one in a series has been designed by a different artist. We got addicted to buying them...
