Navigating the Week Before Your Wedding
Week Before Your Wedding: How to Survive
The week before our wedding was a bit of a blur. People say your wedding day will go by fast and that you won?t remember much of it. I feel like this statement also applies to the week directly before your wedding.
Mr. Horseshoe and I both worked until the Wednesday before our wedding, meaning we had three days to prepare for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. We pulled it off, but I would have done things a little differently if I could do it all over again.
Here?s my advice for navigating the week before your wedding.
Meal plan. Set aside some time a month or two before your wedding and cook some meals that you can toss into the freezer and eat the week of your wedding. We had little to no time left for cooking the week before our wedding as we were running errands and working. I, as a result, ate so many Subway sandwiches for lunch and dinner that they memorised my order. Yes, another turkey sub, please. Although I really don?t regret having this sandwich from Peasant Cheese Shop?

I digress. Save yourself some money and time by making and freezing soups (I love this carrot cumin soup), chili (my go to recipe), etc. One of my favourite freezer meals is roasted sweet potato, steamed spinach/kale topped with a little feta, and chicken breast or salmon. It?s pretty healthy, it reheats decently enough, and it tastes good.
Get those little errands out of the way ear...
