Unfortunately, Christina Ricci won?t be making a guest appearance in this post. This is about how my current vision for the wedding has changed from 12-year-old Eel?s vision of her wedding.
Let?s start with dress.
Twelve-year-old Eel: She would have loved a princess strapless ball gown with lots of bling, a long train, the whole nine yards. Twelve-year-old Eel definitely wanted to look and feel like a princess on her wedding day.

Thirty-year-old Eel: When a consultant would ask what type of dress I was looking for, my first request was always non-strapless. It actually took me a while before I was able to find the perfect dress (a detailed breakdown of my dress shopping experience will come later). I wanted something a little more unique that I hadn?t seen worn before. My dream dresses were all by Hayley Paige. Unfortunately, I would probably have had to go to the mainland and bust my budget to get one.

Hair
Twelve-year-old Eel: I wanted an updo with lots of curls, topped off with a tiara. I distinctly remember going dress shopping with an older cousin and looking at all the tiaras in the display case. I knew that was definitely what I was going to have for my wedding day.
