Ocean Size Love: Eat, Drink, Be Married

For many many years of my life, I pictured getting married on April 4th or 8th; it seemed to me to be the absolutely perfect wedding date, because I am obsessed with the number four. After Mr. S proposed, I thought 4/8/16 would be the most perfectly perfect date, but then as wedding planning got rolling and Cabanas la Luna was booking up, we thought waiting until January was even a bit too long, and April just seemed like an eternity to wait. I decided to ditch my obsession with the date, but now that it is April 8th has come and gone, I did still sort of wish we were getting married on April 8th?just so that we could relive everything again. (And OK, maybe a teeny tiny bit of me still would love the 4/8/16 wedding date.)

Immediately following the reception we had a cocktail hour with light apps. While we snapped a few pictures, our guests enjoyed some margaritas, guacamole, salsa, and tamales. After maybe 10 minutes—I don?t know, I have no concept of time—we joined our guests at the cocktail hour.
I think something got mixed up and our DJs ended up announcing us into the cocktail hour rather than the reception. It ended up being great because everyone had the chance to have a mini dance party before we headed off to dinner. It was all so low-key and relaxed; we just went with the flow and danced our way into the cocktail hour, and then our guests joined in dancing to “La Bamba...
