Playing off of the couple’s Italian roots, we designed with the Amalfi Coast in mind: Cle tiles were shipped in from Italy to be used as place cards, a lemon tree was made in the center of a 16′ round wooden bar, citrus and yellow accents, a traditional millefoglie cake and tropical lanterns, a fire dancer and bamboo chairs to remind the guests that they were on Maui. The overall feel of the wedding had a subtle nod to Italy with a dreamy floral sensibility using garden blooms in shades of blush, nude, taupe, muted copper, terra-cotta, orange, marigold and butter yellow in aged terra-cotta urns. Whimsical linens were mix matched atop round and long dining tables throughout the oceanfront lawn, surrounding the wooden dance floor.
