Once in a Blue Moon Love: The Girls Get Made Up
Bride Getting Dressed for Wedding
All photos are thanks to the absolutely extraordinary Amilia of Amilia Photography.
I woke up on my wedding day around six in the morning, after maybe two or three hours of sleep. I do not really recommend this the day of your wedding, but since I typically run on pure adrenaline in my everyday life, I don’t think it was particularly bad. I probably wouldn’t have slept anyhow, and even later that night after it was all over, I was too hyped up to go to sleep!
I started my morning by putting together some of our last favors and finalizing those details, and then I made sure I had my wedding day bag packed. MOH K and I did a run earlier in the week for everything we thought we might need in the bridal suite, from a sewing kit to granola bars. It turns out we shouldn’t have bothered, because the wondrous Nancy McEachern, owner of Graystone Quarry, fully stocks her bridal suite with drinks and every necessity you can imagine, from a hair dryer to toiletries. I was tempted to send Mr. Blue Moon a quick “happy wedding day” text, but decided to up the ante by waiting to communicate until our first look. Though Graystone Quarry has a fantastic groom’s suite up and ready to go by now, Mr. Blue Moon and his boys got ready at his childhood home. Meanwhile, MOH K, Blue Mom, and I arrived around 10:00 at the completed bridal suite, and the fun began!
