Surrounded by the colors and textures of all the flowering trees, photographer Sylvie Rosokoff teamed up with frequent creative collaborators BLOOM BLOOM and Cha Cha Linda for a nontraditional wedding editorial that brought a bit of the 1960s to today?s Brooklyn. From Tasha Muresan of BLOOM BLOOM: ?I stumbled upon the iconic photo of Elizabeth Taylor with Richard Burton on their wedding day, where Liz has a very long braid, with strung white flowers spiraling down the length of her hair. I believe the flowers used by her stylist were hyacinth and lily of the valley, but I opted for the sturdy-yet-delicate nerine for our version. The kind I was finding at the flower market that week was particularly curly and gestural, and after Shaun wove it across the front of the braid, it looked almost skeletal, but still ethereal and pretty. We knew we’d landed on something really special.?
