The renovation of our bathroom and master bedroom with en suite was a big project to say the least. The biggest we’ve ever undertaken in 12 years as property owners. Essentially our 1930s house has had a couple of extensions, the largest being a double story kitchen extension on the back of the house. This makes up our square shape bedroom, which had no en suite. With 5 bedrooms we felt this was a little out of sync with the house and we really envisioned having our own en suite for our dream home. The plan became to split the large family bathroom into a family bathroom and en suite, with a little re jig of the layout. We also added in a walk in wardrobe, but this is a feature on it’s own for the bedroom instalment.

Bathroom Renovation & Pink Roll Top Bath
So back to the bathroom, it was going to be a little smaller due to splitting the room in two, but still roomy enough for a family to use. A lot of building work was involved though and we were sensible enough to book our family holiday in the middle of it all. It wasn’t the most fun of processes, but luckily we have a downstairs shower room we could use whilst the upstairs was being renovated.
