So, following on from last week’s V-Day inspired beauty treats, here’s a Valentine’s date look which is fun, girly and great for whatever romantic evening you have planned. The beauty of these colours, especially the vibrant lip, is whilst they work really well on super fair skin like my model Flo, they’ll also work on deep and dark skin tones. Plums and pinks will really bring out green eyes, and the blue toned fuchsia lip will make teeth look pearly white too! Skin
Apply a smoothing primer such as Bare Minerals Prime Time to prepare skin for foundation, and ensure your base lasts as long as possible. Buff on thin layers of a long-lasting foundation – here I used Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Mont Blanc, which has a fluid consistency but a full coverage. Once the product is worked into the skin and the foundation has “fused” with the skin, you can conceal any areas that you feel you need to. I used Jane Iredale Disappear Concealer in Light, a great full coverage concealer for which you only need to use a very small amount, as it’s super pigmented.
