Plugged Up
As we figure out the logistics behind our wedding, there seems to be lots of things popping up that have two very different sides to picking them. Things like a first look versus not seeing each other till the ceremony, or having a dollar dance or no dollar dance. The thing we’ve been discussing lately is an unplugged wedding.

Now I totally get the idea of an unplugged wedding. The thought of seeing photos of our guests with their phones in the air is kind of off putting, as well as the terrifying idea of them getting in the way of my photographer that we’re paying a lot for. But at the same time, I trust our guests not to be stupid when it comes to behaving with their camera (I mean, our ceremony is in a church and I think most people know that flash photography in a church is generally not accepted), and I trust our photographer to get those important shots. And then there’s the part of me that wants ALL OF THE PHOTOS and the instant gratification of seeing them on social media. I’m pretty big on taking photos of everything, and most of my friends are too, so I suspect there will be lots of photos all day. I like the idea of seeing our wedding day from the point of view of our guests. Even if it’s a blurry shot of one of the bridesmaids walking down the aisle, or Mr. Dove’s face during my vows, it may be something our photographer misses. Or it may just be another angle.
