Pretty Pink Ranch Wedding
Kyle and Jami’s relationship initially blossomed through a long distance relationship between Portland and Seattle. Throughout the wedding they tried to keep things very Northwest. With their families and friends in either state; Oregon and Washington are places that they will forever be between. Including elements from each state as a part of their wedding was important to them.
Because they were asking everyone to travel for this “semi-destination” pretty pink ranch wedding, they really wanted them to feel like it was worth the drive and to feel the love that they share. See more in the full gallery here, photographed by Yasmin Khajavi Photography.
Details Make The Day
A lot of the small details of the day are what meant most to me. My mom handmade a lot of the decor including every framed chalkboard, our bride and groom chairs, and the signs that hung throughout. We tried to include nods to our relationship in the details. From the local beer and wines to the hand cut, drilled and tied wood slices at each table setting (which were cut from trees in our backyard), to the Voodoo Doughnuts truck (which was one of Kyle and I’s first dates).
Budget Friendly Ideas
I tried to save money on items that I didn’t think were as important. For example, our stationary I purchased the digital design through an etsy designer, paper n peonies, and used vistaprint to print- which saved us tons of money. We also ordered the bridesmaids dresses through et...
