Puffed Up with Love: The Reception Begins

One of the only drawbacks—and there were very few—of being married in November at the Mansion at Valley Country Club was that the reception would be held in the same room as the ceremony. An outdoor ceremony was out because of the temperature, and I?d never wanted an outdoor wedding anyway. But sharing that space was a concern for all of about 10 seconds; the mansion was just too beautiful to let a little thing like that scare us away.
And in about 15 minutes, the staff transformed the ballroom from a warm, glowing ceremony site?
?to a fun, glowing party space (paired with some uplighting we rented).
I was so thrilled with how different they made the same space look. Once guests were seated, members of the wedding party were called in. Again, because we had a somewhat nontraditional wedding party, we didn?t worry too much about the order everyone entered in. We didn?t have enough women for the men to escort, so we just paired guys with guys.
