You?ve all met Bridesmaid Fresnel in my previous posts. She is also in the midst of planning a wedding that is taking place shortly after mine and Mr. Dreamcatcher’s. If you?re hoping this post is filled with juicy drama and cat fights, I?m sorry but you?re going to be very disappointed. No Bride Wars over here.

Planning a wedding simultaneously with your bestie has a ton of perks. It?s great having someone to bounce things off of who doesn?t get sick of your wedding talk. Because we all know nobody cares about your wedding as much as you do. It?s great having someone facing all the exact problems you are on a similar timeline. Plus, Bridesmaid Fresnel is extremely creative and an excellent problem solver. Paired with my organizational skills, we make a pretty awesome wedding-planning team, if I do say so myself.

Although tackling this together has been overwhelmingly positive, it hasn?t been made entirely of sunshine and rainbows. Bridesmaid Fresnel and I are having very different weddings, with very different priorities and budgets. Where I ran into problems is comparing our wedding to hers. Letting myself feel bad that in comparison our wedding wouldn?t be as ?nice? or ?beautiful? as hers. It hurt a little bit to think about our mutual friends walking into Fresnel?s venue and thinking ?Whoa, this is so much nicer than Mr. and Miss Dreamcatcher?s was.? And honestly…they probably will...
