The Story
My partner comes from an amazing Greek family, so it was a given that we would incorporate his traditions into our wedding, as this day is such a magical and important time for them. We chose to have the ceremony in a Greek Orthodox church, which I was completely thrilled with considering how STUNNING the interior was! Not only was the church truly beautiful, but I fell in love with the cultural marital traditions as well, specifically the Stefana or crowns that are placed on our heads which recognize our marriage in the kingdom of God.
