«We met in 2016, when we were both working in Greece. There was an instant spark between us, when we got talking about our shared love of travel and adventure, and had a great summer living and working together exploring the beautiful Ionian islands. Our favourite spot being the small fishing village of Frikes on Ithaca, where we used to spend our days off. Ed popped the question in October 2021. He always knew that he wanted to propose back in Greece, the place where we met, but had to wait for the covid restrictions to be lifted before we were able to travel. I was so surprised when it happened on the beach in Kastos! I had a big birthday coming up and we were in the process of making plans to spend the weekend in London, I was convinced it would happen then so Ed did well to keep it a surprise. It was very romantic and emotional. Of course it was an instant Yes from me!
