March is the perfect month to start daydreaming about the Summer on the horizon, as rays of warmer sunshine timidly begin to light up our days and what better way to indulge in these thoughts than these sun-filled images of an Italian villa!
The lovely Maria and Lukas chose to elope to Villa Principessa Elisa, perched between the rolling hills and rustic cobblestones of the Tuscan countryside, to celebrate their marriage last May. A small group of their loved ones watched as the couple recited their vows amidst the olive groves, playfully framed by a colourful arch of peach and blue balloons. A simple and beautifully authentic tablescape then awaited the guests in the villa’s garden, with scents of rose, olive, and hazelnut lingering in the Spring breeze. As is Italian custom, a naked cake filled with berries and chocolate marked the end of the meal and of this wonderful celebration of love captured by Pure Wedding Photography and planned by Il Bianco e Il Rosa. As an Italian myself, I know I’m biased but there is just something about the landscapes of Italy that fills my heart whenever I catch a glimpse of them! Nothing makes me happier than seeing couples enjoy the country for all the wonderful sights, tastes, and colours that it has to offer, and I hope the memories of this light-filled Spring day will stay with them always, and offer inspiration to all you wanderlusters out there ?
