We fell in love with this romantic, whimsical and elegant wedding at Marigny Opera house in New Orleans. The earth tone pale yellow and earthy-blush palette, the dried and graceful florals, and the chic gown.. we’re ALL about it! The couple met on Bumble, fell in love and dated for 2 years, then planned a gorgeous wedding in 7 months with the help of their planner and designer, Holly Carlisle. From the bride on the venue: The city of New Orleans inspired our wedding style. The magic, the music, and the blend of old and new … it was the perfect backdrop for our big day. And the best part was our venue! The Marigny Opera House was built in 1853 and restored over the years; it has a beautiful patina that illustrates the rich history of the building and of New Orleans.
And about that stunning gown: After narrowing it down to two favorites, the Antonio Riva just felt right. I loved that it was soft and elegant, but also had an unexpected detail with the organza layering on the bodice. It also fit our venue and the January weather perfectly! After the ceremony, we removed the layer over my arms and fixed it to the back of my dress, so I could hold my umbrella for the second line! (And dance, and eat, and hug all of our people).
