Tips to Combat Pre-Wedding Stress
Hello, hive! I feel like I?ve finally emerged from my post-wedding fog and returned to my usual routine—blogging included. Bear with me as I eagerly await the arrival of our wedding photos.
As much fun as wedding planning was, I experienced some fairly stressful moments. These moments were often sometimes caused by my disorganization/procrastination. (?Miss Horseshoe, you need to get those vases to the florist today. They can?t wait any longer!?) I?d also feel somewhat antsy and overwhelmed when we handed small fortunes over to our vendors. Was it worth it in the end" Of course. Did I have the ability to gaze into the future and tell myself to calm down and know that everything would be OK" Nooope. A big piece of advice I have for brides- and grooms-to-be is to find something that brings you stress relief, and make sure you practice it regularly. Maybe it?s crafting, yoga, or baking. For me, it was running/working out. This surprised me a bit as I am an ardent student of Martha—I thought baking or crafting would be number one when it came to stress relief.
I decided to amp up my exercise routine in preparation for our wedding. I used to be quite fit/active, but I had let that slide over the past couple of years—gulp. I had fairly loose goals: get toned and lose a bit of weight for the wedding.
I started lifting weights four/five times a week and made sure I got 10,000 steps a day—this equated to a lunch...
