Saying Yes to the Guestbook

Early on in planning, I wandered around the internet looking for a cute and ?unique? guestbook idea. I didn?t want to go full ?fingerprint tree,? but I also didn?t really want a traditional guestbook. I briefly considered the message-in-a-bottle idea (wine bottles labeled with different anniversaries and guests can choose one in which to place their message, to be opened and read that year), but it seemed rather unwieldy. Then, we were having dinner with friends and she showed me her wedding photobook.
It was so cute! I don?t know why it hadn?t occurred to me that guestbooks could be more than just lined pages inside. Duh. I looked into creating one and man, it was easy. I went to the old standby, Shutterfly, and uploaded some of our engagement photos to a template that meshed with our aesthetic. You can change backgrounds, embellishments, and layout.

I also included some quotes that are dear to us, like the scripture we used on our save the dates and the vows from every Game of Thrones wedding. Hee.
