Secret Life of Bees: Stingray Edition

At Home Reception for Destination Wedding
“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
To talk of many things:
Of shoes?and ships?and sealing-wax?
Of cabbages?and kings?
And why the sea is boiling hot?
And whether pigs have wings.
Actually, the time has come for me to officially sign off at Weddingbee. My last recap was more than a few weeks ago, about the amazing surprise my new husband somehow snuck into the wedding planning. A few weekends ago was our home ?reception.? It was a great celebration filled with tacos, margaritas, cider, fireworks, lanterns, and more dancing in the sand. It was incredible to have the chance to celebrate our marriage with everyone in our (huge) extended families!
Now that the planning is officially over (thank goodness), it?s time to get back in the swing of ?regular? life! I?m excited to pass the wedding torch on to my other friends and celebrate being married. Before I leave, I thought I?d write up a little Secret Life of Bees post! Here we go. My husband and I make thousands of gallons of hard cider and grow apples in bottles.
The best part is, my best friend has her bakery attached to the back of our cider shop! She is an amazing baker; she made the cake for our at home reception. We didn?t have a cake in Mexico, and she?s really the only one to make our wedding cake anyway. We?re so lucky! (I?d love to just post a whole slew of the wedding cakes she has made—they are amazing.)
