If you want to see shabby chic done right, look no further than Brittney and Nicholas’ wedding at The Grounds of Alexandria! The Parisian-inspired venue offered a rustic charm that inspired the couple’s vibe, which centered around lush florals, an earthy and rich color palette, and antique décor. For their couple portraits with Olguin Photography, they made use of the entire venue, from the private garden to the greenhouse to the animal pens. The bride looked beautiful in a lace ballgown from Accapella Bridal, which was complemented by the bridesmaids’ lovely maroon dresses from Sheike. Oh, and let’s not forget the super sweet, tearful moments of the groom seeing his bride for the first time and giving a toast at the reception – be still our hearts! The Couple:

Walking down the aisle and seeing my husband-to-be’s face was the most memorable part of the day. The joy and emotion it brought out was priceless. I would do it all over again just to experience that moment again.

We did a few DIY projects. For the wedding favours, we ordered jars online from a packaging website. Then we bought Nutella in bulk and piped it into the jars, which we decorated ourselves. We made the menus using glass from K-Mart photo frames and wood. We traced the menu on from printouts using chalk.
