A few years ago, I decided to pull the plug and chop my hair off. It had grown almost completely down my backside, and I wanted a fresh start. After seeing Julianne Hough in the movie “Safe Haven,” I knew that short hair would look just as cute on me as it did on her. I hate to tell you, I was wrong. It definitely wasn?t a good look for me ? at least not at first.
As self-conscious as I was, I sported my new hair around and tried to pretend like I looked good with it. Some gentleman, though he wasn?t much of a gentleman, crossed my path and looked at me and said, ?women should never have short hair.? I was offended, of course, so I?m sure I had a snide remark back to him and then walked away. It was at that moment that I decided I was going to prove him, and anyone else who agreed with him, wrong. Pinterest made my short hair world a much simpler place. I tried all sorts of styles and parts. I found that over time, I developed the ?short hair, don?t care? attitude. My short hair was nothing but fabulous.
Don?t let anyone trick you into thinking that you don?t look remarkable with your trimmed locks, because you do. And when your big day rolls around, don?t try to hide your hair behind an up-do or extensions; embrace it with glamour!
