Planning a cosy wintry wedding in the country" Then this is the wedding for you lovely readers. Rebecca and Sam tied the knot on the 11th February 2017 in a church ceremony followed by a reception at The Wild Boar in the Lake District. I totally love the neutral colour palette that runs throughout the day, with Sam in a brown tweed suit, crisp whites and wooden rustic décor galore. They envisioned a simple and laid back day, which really comes across beautifully in the images by Hayley Baxter Photography. I really love their portraits in the tree lined road especially, they are so very seasonal.
The florals were all roses and gypsophila for a timeless and pretty style, a vintage suitcase was used for the seating plan and log touches worked well with the hessian and kraft paper details. There were also two cakes and the tower of cheese really looked marvellous perched upon the tree stump stand. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was devoured by hungry guests. Although by the sounds of their delicious menu, they were really treated by Rebecca and Sam already in the food department. Then there was Rebecca’s gown. I am totally coveting her long train, illusion lace dress. It’s a design called Deirdre by Maggie Sottero and she looked divine in it. Such a good call opting for sleeves too, not only do they look gorgeous but I am sure they kept the winter chill at bay. Enjoy folks.
