Simple Fun & Full Of Joy Orange 70s Disco Wedding
Simple, fun and full of joy was order of the day for Lex and Chris. Their The Oystercatcher wedding in Greenwich, London sure hit their brief.
I love how they decided to take inspiration from Lex’s parents’ 90s wedding as well as cool 70s disco vibes. They choose browns and oranges, alongside some super cool touches. I’m looking at you vintage iced wedding cake, disco balls, fabric banner sign and stylish outfits!
From the sunset Thames portraits to the gorgeous flowers and mega-watt smiles, their day looked like a dream come true.
Thanks ever so much to B Photography for sharing with us these sensational images
The Oystercatcher Wedding
The Proposal
Chris and I have been together for 7ish years and knew fairly early on that we could see a future together. But before we wanted to get married, our main priority was saving for a home of our own. We completed in early December 2022 and on our first night in the house, he proposed!
I had just made dinner, a nice big bowl of pasta and Chris told me he had got me a housewarming present! The moment I saw that little box, I knew. It was perfect. Just us on the first night of our next chapter, in joggers and slippers. Dreamy.
The Vision
The whole way through planning, I referred to the wedding as ?Stevie Nicks Does Wedding? or ?70s Disco?.
My parents got married in 1990 and it sounded so full of love. Lots of DIY, plenty of fun and surrounded by friends. I knew that was exactly what I wanted. They had oranges...
